Dragging Pond to the Trash is not enough. The terminal helper keeps running, and your data stays. Go in this order.
1. Quit Pond and its helper
- Quit Pond from the menu bar (Pond › Quit Pond).
- End the terminal helper. Pond keeps it running on purpose so your agents survive a quit. Ending it closes every Pond terminal and any agent in one, so finish or save that work first. In Activity Monitor, search for
pond-ptyd, select it and choose Quit. If you use Computer use, quitPond Computerthe same way.
2. Remove what Pond left
- Turn off Open at login in Settings before you delete the app, if you had it on. Otherwise remove Pond under System Settings › General › Login Items.
- Delete
~/.local/bin/pond, if you installed the command. - Delete the
~/.pondfolder. This removes your projects list, sessions, settings and the friends files. - Open Keychain Access and delete the items for Pond:
app.pond.settings-sealand the Friends identity keys. - Remove the preferences file
~/Library/Preferences/codes.pond.app.plist. - In System Settings › Privacy & Security, remove Pond Computer from Accessibility and Screen Recording.
- Move Pond to the Trash.
